Origami

my 11yo loves origami. anyone boston north know of a club or group for kids to fold?

1. I'm not aware of any clubs, but you might check with your child's school and you might find someone there who would be interested in getting something started. I found that many kids of that age love origami, and are fascinated by it. Most likely if your child likes origami, he/she already knows the story of Sadako and the paper cranes, but if not, check for it at your library. Possibly even ask at the library about possibilities for getting a club started. Another source of help might be any community centers or recreation centers in your area, or if there is a boys and girls club in your community. If you can't find something, and I suspect that you might not, see if you can organize getting something started. I think quite a few kids would be interested.
2. i dont know about groups but there is a lot on HGTV archives on the carol duvall and other shows that tell you how to do it step by step and there is pictures that really help Hope this helps
3. I would have loved to have been in an origami club when I was a kid. Don't know of any in that area, but you can check out this site: http://origami.howcast.com They have a forum to ask questions, TONS of how to videos, and they also do livecasts from time to time. here's a link that explains a little more about livecasts http://foldsomething.com/2009/04/29/mark-your-calendars/
